Clean Air Zones, and other similar schemes, are being introduced to cities across England and other parts of the United Kingdom so that everyone can enjoy, healthier cleaner air.
Birmingham’s Clean Air Zone is a type D scheme and was launched with the aim of reducing the levels of nitrogen dioxide in the city centre in order to improve air quality. Vehicles that do not meet the emission standards for the zone are subject to a daily fee, unless there is a valid exemption from the fee in place.
