Fleet management survey
To improve air quality, some local authorities are introducing Clean Air Zones - charging zones are now live in Bath and Birmingham.
You can use the Drive in a Clean Air Zone (CAZ) service to check if your vehicle meets the emission standards and, if not, pay the daily charge. The system is operated by the Joint Air Quality Unit.
The Joint Air Quality Unit has put together a survey which aims to gather information on how telemetry and geofencing systems are currently used to facilitate fleet management, particularly in relation to monitoring and making payments for road charging schemes in the UK, and any concerns or barriers preventing wider usage of them.
Our findings will help us understand how the fleet community is tracking and paying for entries into chargeable areas, including Clean Air Zones, providing a basis for improvements to the Drive in a Clean Air Zone service. The survey will open on 1 August 2021 and close on 14 August 2021.
